Privacy policy

Contour Cutting respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Who this policy applies to

This privacy policy applies to customers, prospective customers, suppliers, trainees, website visitors and any person who contacts Contour Cutting by email, phone, WhatsApp or in person. It covers personal information processed by Contour Cutting, based at Isando, Johannesburg, and by our support activities in Sandton, Midrand, Germiston, Boksburg and Randburg, as well as cutter installs carried out nationwide.

For the purposes of POPIA, Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd is the operator responsible for the processing of personal information on behalf of Contour Cutting where applicable.

2. Information we collect and receive

We collect only the information needed to provide quotations, schedule services, arrange training, support installations and respond to technical queries. This may include personal details and business details supplied directly by you, or provided by your employer or authorised representative.

  • Company name and business address
  • Phone number, email address and delivery details
  • Order details, training bookings and service notes
  • Technical correspondence relating to cutter setup, maintenance or support

We may also record communication preferences, invoice information and site access details where needed for delivery or installation work.

3. Why we use your information

Personal information is processed for lawful business purposes that are relevant to our services. We use it to quote, supply, install, train and support customers, and to keep proper records for admin and compliance purposes. Where required, we may use your information to meet tax, accounting or contractual obligations.

During power interruptions or load-shedding, we use our normal back-up procedures to keep records safe and accessible.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for correction of inaccurate details, or object to certain processing where the law allows. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to legal or contractual limits.
